{"id":43,"date":"2018-06-06T18:55:48","date_gmt":"2018-06-06T16:55:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/y-richter.de\/?p=43"},"modified":"2018-06-06T18:56:46","modified_gmt":"2018-06-06T16:56:46","slug":"dps5005-power-supply","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/y-richter.de\/?p=43","title":{"rendered":"DPS5005 Power Supply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Based on the popular DPS5005 Module i have created a 3D printed power supply (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thingiverse.com\/thing:2694980\">Thingiverse STL<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>These modules can also be controlled via usb with modbus. A python example is available on my <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Ultrawipf\/pydps\">github<\/a>.<br \/>\nThis allows for automatic measurements and live readouts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/9OI4YP3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/9OI4YP3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"4160\" height=\"3120\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A 32V old kodak power supply is fitted in the bottom of the case. For the fan a standard DC-DC buck converter was used.<\/p>\n<p>The temperature stays reasonably cool when used with a fan while running at over 100W . The limiting factor here is the power supply and the 5A limit of the module.
